Description
This is a very fine 1982 Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider, the last year of the “Coda tronca”. This car also has the 2.0 litre dashboard and has been in single longterm ownership. He only used the car recreationally and kept the car in excellent health. The bodywork looks great and has lovely original thin panelwork. The paintwork has been redone. This work has been done to a pleasing high standard and still has kept it more or less unblemished looks. The car stands on its fine original steel rims shod in correctly sized good quality rubber. The well fitting hood is in good condition.
The interior is in wonderful shape, this Spider is clearly one who has enjoyed being kept under cover. The great looking instrument cluster and controls are all in perfect condition. Not only do they look great they also are in correct working order. The additional Jaeger instruments also work perfectly and keep you abreast of all the engine’s vital functions.
Mechanically the car has always been correctly maintained. The 1600 engine appears better able to run through the revs compared to its 2 litre siblings. The Alfa Romeo Spider is a light car and as such delivers a sparkling performance. The engine transfers its power via a finely shifting 5-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels. Things like brakes and suspension are similarly perfectly maintained and contribute no end to the kind of pleasure only found in an Alfa Romeo Spider.
The car comes with a few copies of old ownership and an original manual.
This very nice Alfa Romeo 1600 Spider produced in the last “Coda tronca” year is in very fine condition.
