Description
This fine example of the sought after Speed 25 left the Works on 3rd July 1937 to travel the short distance to Huxleys of Coventry and then to first owner J.James . There followed a number of owners one being an American Gentleman who having used the car on holiday in England liked it so much he took it back to the States with him. Restored in the 1960`s but not used sufficiently and eventually was repatriated in 2007 by the last owner who had the bodywork professionally restored and recommissioned the mechanicals .It has been carefully stored in recent years.
Excellent bodily and recently serviced this is a stunning example of these very desirable touring cars well up to rallies and sporting events.
Cross and Ellis of Coventry fitted excellent lightweight tourer bodies for Alvis and this car with its 3.5 litre six cylinder engine produces 106 bhp and a top speed of almost 100 mph.
These cars were the envy of many but owned only by a fortunate few.
