1940 12/70 Four Seater Tourer by Mulliner (1940)

The 12/70 model was announced in September 1937 marking  a reversion to 4 cylinders with a newly designed engine and lighter smaller bodywork creating a surprisingly nimble car. Thirteen only Mulliner Tourers were produced, this being the last one leaving the factory on 23 April 1940.
This car, owned by a former Alvis apprentice was purchased by his father, himself a previous Alvis owner and Garage proprietor in 1953 and he set about a chassis-up restoration. The car therefore benefits from seventy years of enthusiasts ownership and is in excellent order throughout.
In it original livery of Grey coachwork, wheels, interior and hood the car is as good to drive as it is to behold, an extremely rare model and the last one produced.
