HWM Alta Jaguar (1950)




HWM Alta Jaguar - XMC34. One of the four works cars, this being the first (chassis number FB104 /150A). First time on the market since 1965. The car has spent most of this time being Hill climbed by names such as Gillian Goldsmith, Divina Galica and Amanda Stretton. The car’s illustrious history which is well documented in the book by Simon Taylor. In period the car was raced by Sir Stirling Moss, George Abecassis and John Heath. The first year it was campaigned at Goodwood, Montlhery, Roubaix, Chimay, Aix Les Bains and Bern. At the end of the season the car was purchased by Oscar Moore who registered it as XMC 34. A superb motor car which can potentially run at some of the most prodigious motor racing events around the world.
