He starred in the Leopard, the Samurai, The Hurried Man, Zorro and Casanova, and now the movie legend Alain Delon’s Ferrari Testarossa could be yours when it goes under the hammer at Artcurial’s Rétromobile sale, in Paris, on 8 February.
Expected to make €40-80,000, the car was delivered new to the celebrated French-born actor in 1987, yet only registered in ’89 and has covered just 18,000km since.
Delon’s chauffeur followed the car’s maintenance ‘very closely’ taking his eye off the ball only recently, with its last service carried out over three years ago. That dealt, however, with major consumables such as the belts, tyres and clutch.
With the supercar comes prized Delon memorabilia including a signed logbook and a handwritten note to the new owner, but, we are told, not his dog.
You can view the lot’s full description on Artcurial’s website.
