Hundreds of classics to join the Traversée de Paris

More than 600 classics are expected to take part in the Traversée de Paris 2013 on 6 January.

The 30km tour will take in various spots around Paris including Montmartre, Place Vendôme, Place de la Concorde, Champs Elysées, Grand Palais, Invalides and Bastille. It will attract classics from a wide range of manufacturers including Rolls-Royce, Citroën, Alpine, Mercedes and Fiat.

The meet begins at 8am at the Esplanade of the Château de Vincennes and finishes at the same place at 4pm.

Interest in the event has been spurred on by the fact that it could one of the last. New legislation proposed by Paris’ mayor Bertrand Delanoë means classic cars could be banned from the French capital by the summer of 2014
