Villiers two-stroke drives front wheel by chain; alloy structure, initially chassis-less. Mk B (1951-53) introduces 197cc engine; rubber rear spring units on 1952 Mk C and retained until 1961. Restyled Mk E (four speed) for 1957, 'saloon-coupè' for 1959; 250cc engine in Mk F for 1959; further restyle and coil-over-damper suspension in Mk G for 1962.
