Super Seven initially with Cosworth-tuned 1340cc Classic engine, but soon with either GT or Cosworth 1498cc/1599cc unit; otherwise as original S2 - although with disc front brakes on bigger-engined cars. S3 is much as Super Seven S2, but if tuned the pushrod Ford engines are now from Holbay. Some cars with 1297cc unit, and 13 'Super Sprints' with twin-cam 1558cc Lotus engine and strengthened chassis. Subsequently S3 was revived by Caterham Cars. Progressively improved, it's still very much in production.
