First Maserati attempt at a luxury GT. 220/235bhp and 140-plus mph. Tubular chassis, originally with four-speed 'box and servo drum brakes, but five speeds, front discs and eventually all-disc brakes introduced gradually Latterly, more powerful fuel-injected engine standard. Automatic option on the last cars (1964).
