MONTEVERDI 375S HIGH SPEED
2-seater coupè.
First of a line of Chrysler-powered Swiss grand tourers. Square-tube chassis by Monteverdi, body by Frua at first and later by Fissore, and trim and final assembly back in Basel; also available as 400bhp (gross) 400SS. Specification includes coil-sprng De Dion rear, and choice of four-speed manual or Chrysler Torqueflight automatic. Initial style evolves into sharper-edged design similar to 3751, replaced by droop-snoot Berlinetta in 1972.
