Buick
BUICK ELECTRA

2-door or 4-door 6-seater coupé/hardtop/convertible/saloon.

Various sub-derivatives of same basic family, all produced on same 127ins wheelbase. Buick's biggest and best were related to Cadillacs under the body skin, but with their own vast V8 engines and GM400 automatic transmission. Wallowy boulevard-cruisers, hit by energy crisis, then drastically scaled down for 1977. For the British the only attraction was sheer bulk, as engineering was very basic. No convertibles after 1970 model year.
