FORD CORTINA MKII

2-door/4-door 5-seater saloon/estate.

Second-generation of very popular light-medium British Ford, using same underpan/suspension/basic running gear of first Cortina under new, smooth, anonymous style. Definitive version from late '67, complete with bowl-in-piston cross-flow 'Kent' engines, and 1297cc (1198cc on earlier car) for basic version. Front disc brakes, automatic option on larger-engined cars, and estates in abundance. The standard-setter (in sales terms) for all other British medium-sized cars of the period, assembled in many countries worldwide.
