Rootes' ultimate homologation special, having 16-valve twin-cam BRM engine conversion on British and Brazilian Avenger blocks, linked to ZF five-speed 'box. Stiffer suspension, no settled spec. (customer chose it) and virtually no road cars, though homologated late '74. Used mainly for British rallying, when up to 205bhp was available from full-house 2-litre tune. Dropped in favour of Sunbeam-Lotus in 1978-79, and it could be that none survive today.
