Humber
HUMBER SCEPTRE

4-door saloon/estate.

Most plush of all Rootes 'Arrow'-based models, sharing same basic saloon and estate shells (but slightly different nose) with Hunters, Vogues, Gazelles, etc. From start, though, had Sunbeam Rapier-type engine and near 100mph top speed. Loaded up with instruments, wood facia, nice trim, but staid handling. Overdrive standard, and automatic optional. Went under in Chrysler/Rootes upheaval of '76, never replaced.
