LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MARK III

2-door 4-seater hardtop coupé.

Vast and successful Iacocca-inspired coupé, a direct competitor to Cadillac's Eldorado. Crisp, hard-edged style, with Rolls-Royce like front grille, six-foot long bonnet, cramped cabin, and automatic everything. Chassis based on that of current Ford Thunderbird, but very large 365bhp engine always standard. Bench mark was 117.2ins wheelbase - and 4800lb unladen weight! By USA standards, unashamedly large, but nicely built.
