MASERATI QUATTROPORTE II

4-door 5-seeater saloon.

Short-lived four-door saloon, using Citroën SM front-drive engine transmission of 190bhp, underpowered because of 3750lb dry weight. Style by Bertone was quite anonymous, and much SM-type hydraulic gear was fitted. Citroën-powered steering, hydropneumatic suspension, electric windows, air-conditioning all standard. Killed off by Maserati bankruptcy and de Tomaso takeover. Top speed perhaps 125mph.
