Close relative of 280SE 3.5, except for use of 4ins longer wheelbase version of S-Class bodyshell, actually the first M-B saloon to have the V8 engine installed. Once again, model title confusing (should have been 350SEL...), for it replaced the 3-litre six-cylinder model!
