MINI 850/1000
2-door 4-seater saloon/estate car.
Mini Mk II lost its 'Austin' and 'Morris' marquee badges for 1970. This famous front-drive derivative had 'dry' rubber suspension and wind-up window body shell. Still basic inside, still with sit-up-and-beg driving position, amazing agility, and park-anywhere abilities. Overshadowed by Mini Metro since 1980, but still built throughout 1980s. Special limited editions at times, in 1979 with 1100cc.
