MORGAN PLUS 8

2-door 2-seater sports car.

Fastest Morgan of all time, though still with thirties-type chassis, body style and appointments. Light-alloy Rover V8 gave startling performance (125mph) with shatteringly hard ride and skimpy weather protection. As with 4/4s, some with alloy bodies, and, in this case, virtually all with light-alloy wheels. Remote Moss four-speed 'box at first, then Rover four-speeder from mid-1972 and, finally, BL five-speeder (all synchro) from 1977 on. About 150bhp, depending on year built, in seventies - latest models even have injection and 190bhp!
