NSU

NSU
NSU TTS

2-door 4-seater saloon.

The ultimate 'homologation special', derivative of the NSU 1000, with 70bhp/two twin-choke carb engine (85bhp available to order), disc front brakes, perforated wheels, and usually running with rear engine lid open to aid cooling. Effective, if not Mini-Cooper beating, little racer, with 100mph top speed and very nimble handling. Like 1200TT, had four headlamps, and this version had great character. A good one, today, would be an intriguing buzz-box alternative to the 970S. But how many are there?
