OPEL GT1900

Sleek, quite un-Opel-like little GT car, running on floorpan of Kadett Rallye/Olympia, but with French-built (but Opel-styled) fastback coupé body, featuring concealed headlamps (which rotated into position when needed), and 'Kamm' tail. Never sold with right-hand drive, but some lhd examples came here. By sixties Opel standards, a surprisingly nice car, full of character but still hampered by Kadett underpan/suspension. Small cousin was GT1100 (with 60bhp 1.1-litre engine), not sold here. GT1900, with 90bhp, had good torque and a 105-110mph top speed.
