Pontiac
PONTIAC GRAND PRIX

2-door 6-seater hardtop coupé.

Another large, heavy (3,800lb) speciality coupé from Pontiac, this one riding on a 118in wheelbase and stuffed with luxury options, rather like a large Thunderbird or (some insisted) a smaller Cadillac. Look carefully and you'll see some family resemblance to the Toronado/Eldorado of the period, though GP was strictly conventional front engine/rear drive/power assisted everything. One of many confusingly similar GM coupés of the early seventies, and very rare in UK.
