Even better, faster and stronger than the original Turbo, with final stretch of air-cooled flat-six, and 300bhp. More than 160mph flat out, and 0-100mph in 12 sec. Like all 911s, still with tricky handling, but immeasurably better than in 1970. Old-fashioned instrumentation and interior layout, though with this performance, durability and image, who cares? The only snag is the huge cost of ownership. No Targas or cabriolets until 1987, and no five-speed 'box before 1989.
