Reliant

Reliant
RELIANT REBEL

2-door 4-seater saloon/estate.

Small, dull, utterly forgettable four-seater from Tamworth, squeezed between three-wheelers (related only by Reliant's own engine and transmission) and elegant Scimitars. Triumph Herald independent front end, box-section chassis, and plain-Jane (Ogle) styling in glass-fibre. 701cc from 1968, 748cc from late 1972, no overlap. 89ins wheelbase, 1200lbs weight, 27bhp at first, gave Mini-like performance and economy, but - what else? Replaced by Kitten.
