TALBOT SUNBEAM

3-door 4-seater hatchback.

Merely a rebadged Chysler Sunbeam, following a corporate marquee change, which is to say that a shortened Hillman/Chrysler/Talbot Avenger underpan and suspension supported a neat hatchback body style, with choice of enlarged Imp or Avenger engines, all with Avenger transmissions, MacPherson strut front end, et al. A good bread-and-butter car, keeping Linwood busy, and also spawning the more sporty TI and 'homologation special' Sunbeam-Lotus models. Linwood closed in 1981, so the Sunbeam was axed too.
