TVR 2500

2-door 2-seater coupé.

Very successful engine/structural cocktail from Blackpool, intended mainly for USA sale, really taking over from the Tuscan V6, but with Triumph TR6 engine/transmission, and 106bhp of federalised horsepower. Optional overdrive was popular, as was silky-smooth power delivery. Looks and basic chassis engineering as for other Vixen-Tuscan V6 cars, except that the last cars had the M-Type chassis, which took over in the seventies. Rare in the UK, but a satisfying 111mph car with up to 30mpg. Displaced by 2500M (same chassis and sleeker body) in 1972.
