VAUXHALL VENTORA/VICTOR 3300SL (FD TYPE)

4-door 5-seater saloon estate car.

Basically a well-equipped Victor FD structure, with Velox/Cresta 3.3-litre 'six' shoe-horned into the same engine bay. Four-speed all-synchromesh gearbox normally, but some with overdrive, and the option of USA-built Gm automatics at first, Strasbourg three-speeder for 1970. Salons were Ventoras (Mk II for 1970), estates were less swish Victor 3300SLs. 123bhp from truck-derived engine, which was silky but not inspiring, and more than 105mph was available. Like all other FDs, this one rusted badly.
