VAUXHALL VX4/90 (FE TYPE)

4-door 5-seater saloon.

For followers of Vauxhall logic, the final VX4/90 was an utterly predictable car, with chassis details like the final FD types but in the latest FE structure. Regrettably, though, overdrive was no longer available after 1973, but a 100mph plus top speed was still assured. 1977-1978 models, paralleling small-engined VX cars, had single headlamps, but with a five-speed gearbox as a bonus. Interesting if not startling - but many have rusted away.
