WILLIAM FARMER

Open 2-seater.

Called just 'William' (Just William - geddit?) when launched here by Crayford in 1972, this was a French built Italian Lawil, a Liliputian runabout with Lambretta scooter engine, four speed 'crash' box, transverse leaf ifs and Mini-sized 10ins wheels, A mere 80 inches long, with no weather protection and chains in place of door, the William had no discernible virtues. Crayford must have been mad! No more than a curiosity today, but a bit of fun nevertheless.
