WOLSELEY 16/60

4-door 5-seater saloon.

The last of the dry-as-dust Farina-styled BMC cars, which floated on unchanged from the early sixties. Basic Austin/Morris style adorned with typical grille and fancy paintwork, plus more lavish interior. Stodgy 61bhp B-Series engine gave 80mph if you were lucky, but much slower with the automatic option. No disc brakes, and mediocre handling due to narrow track and relatively high build. A classic only to Wolseley fanatics, for the character was very dull indeed.
