ALVIS SPEED 20 SB/SC/SD

Sports tourer, drophead coupé, sports saloon, numerous customs.

All these have the splendid four-speed all-synchro 'box and transverse-leaf ifs in cruciform-braced frames. P100 lamps standard, bodies (VDP, Charlesworth mainly) delightful, but power can't keep pace with growing weight. SC (1935) has 2.8-litre engine, twin electric pumps, telecontrols and an extra inch of wheelbase. SD (1936) essentially the same.
