Darracq

Darracq
DARRACQ H78/K78, M78

Tourer, drophead coupé, saloon.

Flagship of the French range until the disbanding ot STD, and a rarity even in its day. Said to be endowed with more performance (if not impeded by too formal coachwork) than many of its contemporaries with their feeble, woolly straight eights. Twin carbs, vacuum servo brakes and driver-controlled shock absorbers were all standard on this technically impressive car, with nine main bearings and twin oil pumps in the engine. K78 and M78 were six cylinder derivatives.
