Hillman

Hillman
HILLMAN 14 (1938-40)

Saloon.

Humber Hawk ancestor using compact Humber chassis/body with latest Hillman grille and enlarged, 51bhp development of '33's 1.7-litre Humber 12 unit. A good and tough car spoilt by poor brakes and firewall rust. All-synchromesh 'box only on '38s, though the rare '40s (few reached civilian hands) had hydraulic anchors and a nfew grille treatment. Lighter than the 1945-48 Humber models.
