Invicta

Invicta
INVICTA 12/45, 12/90

Tourer, saloon.

Attractive specification, with that impressive-looking Blackburne six married to silent third 'box and the usual Invicta quality, but the chassis would not shame a 41/2, hence that 6 to 1 axle ratio. Said to be an oil burner, and even less performance with the Wilson preselectors of later cars. Supercharged 12/90 would just about do 70, and sadly the twin-cam 12/100 with underslung frame à la S-type never got beyond Olympia in 1932.
