MARMON BIG EIGHT

7-passenger sedan, limousine, brougham, club sedan, 2-passenger coupé, various specials.

Last of the Marmon 'eights', this became the Model 88 during 1932. Apart from six-volt electrics, open propshaft, spiral bevel final drive, four-speed 'box, 136ins wheelbase, different axle ratios for seven seater bodies and other styles, there were one or two unusual touches. The standard central control was there, on coupés the rumble seat was operated by a lever inside the car, and interior lights were linked to the opening of the doors. Styling was restrained but pleasant.
