MG
MG 18/80 MK I

Open 2-seater, open 4-seater, saloon, various coupés.

Superbly made, comfortable and typically late vintage English touring car, this one used an engine based on the abortive 1929 Morris Light Six. Mark Is had three speed crash 'box, 12ins brakes, 48ins track, and the 114ins wheelbase frame had shackled semi-elliptics all round. With around 60bhp available, they were quite good performers, with 78mph possible from a tourer. All coachwork attractive, although passenger space limited by the car's overall narrowness. In 1930, an optional extra of a vertically slatted radiator was made available, and this model carried, for the first time, the definitive shape MG radiator.
