MORRIS COWLEY/TWELVE-FOUR

4-door saloon.

The Cowley's swansong, with completely new 34bhp engine and a revised shorter-wheelbase chassis. Synchro now on third and top, but cork-lined clutch running in oil is retained. Only sold as saloon, and revised body, with radiator further forward, somehow lacks the neatness of earlier Cowleys. For '35 renamed the Twelve-Four. In original sidevalve form the engine carried forward to Series II Twelve and also used until beginning of fifties in Series Y 10cwt van.
