MORRIS TEN-FOUR

Saloon, tourer, special coupé, open 2-seater with dickey, Commercial Traveller's Saloon.

With the 10hp category becoming increasingly important, the Ten was an immediate success for Morris. Introduced in August 1932 as saloon or special coupé, a tourer joined the range in December and a two-seater with dickey and a Traveller's Saloon were added for 1934. Powered by a new sidevalve engine, the Ten was a sturdy if unspectacular performer with excellent braking through Lockheed hydraulics. Four-speed 'box standard and clutch was the usual cork-linings-in-oil job. New chassis introduced for '34, along with synchro 'box. Two-tone colour schemes for '35. Much-loved by shoe-string motorists in the fifties, so survival rate good.
