OPEL P4

Saloon, de luxe saloon, drophead saloon, de luxe drophead saloon.

Plain, no-nonsense development of the firm's early thirties 'Laubfrosch', itself Citroën based. Styling very Fiat Balilla-like, scaled down US perpendicular, complete with Fisher 'No-draught' ventilation. Semi-elliptics standard all round, there was the option of a three- or four-speed 'box, servo brakes fitted, and 55mph was possible from the sturdy if uninspiring sidevalve 'four'.
