Opel
OPEL OLYMPIA (1938-39)

4-door saloon, 2-door saloon, 2-door drophead saloon.

Overhead valves at last, thanks to a new engine with over-square cylinder dimensions and four-bearing crank, capable of propelling the new Olympia at around 70mph. Ifs used, as was unit construction, and styling was very much scaled down GM, with a Turret Top and alligator bonnet. Drophead saloons interesting (pre-cursor of the Deux Chevaux rag top?), and all for £159 in this country.
