PEUGEOT 201C

Saloon de luxe, cabriolet de luxe, sportsman's fixed-head coupé, sportsman's drophead coupé.

Still with the 201's work drive, sturdy and unspectacular sidevalve 'four', rear quarter elliptic springs and thermo-siphon cooling, but on this one there was independent front suspension, a new bonnet, large single blade bumpers, and a chromed radiator and cowl. Drophead coupé very elegant, while later models (not imported) had synchro 'boxes. The 201X sports model used a Type 48 Bugatti supercharged ohc engine (half a Type 35 unit in effect), but alas, was never imported and only one survives.
