RENAULT REINASTELLA

Sports saloon, coupé, sportsman's coupé, limousine, various specials.

Honourable successor to the immortal 40hp monster from the twenties, perhaps lacking the charm of that particular car, mainly due to the US type dashboard and clumsy central levers. Very American looking, it was the first Renault with a front radiator and virtually all are handsome, well proportioned, beasts. Splendid bodies, some from the Renault factory itself, but also by specials such as Kellner, Pininfarina and Hibbard et Darrin, and they were used pre-war as French presidential transport. Not cheap, and they didn't sell here.
