RENAULT VIVA GRAND SPORT

6-seater Pullman saloon, 3-seater coupé, 5/6-seater coupé, 8-seater Pullman limousine.

Cue for some very strange bodies, the Grand Sport came on two different length chassis, at 118ins and a 1241/2ins frame, while vee-grilles and column shift were normal wear. It is hardly a Grand Sport in the Hotchkiss or Delayhaye tradition, but pre-'38 cabrios, complete with spats over the rear wheels, fold-down screens and faired-in headlights, look the part, as do some of the odd aerodynamic saloons and coupés. From '37 on, there is a more bluff frontal aspect due to a very heavy grille and new bonnet louvres - pretty unpleasant in fact. The '39s are much more attractive due to a less aggressive grille.
