RENAULT NERVASPORT

6-seater Pullman saloon, 4/5-seater coupé, 5/6-seater coupé, 8-seater Pullman limousine.

Very similar in concept to the Viva GS, the Nervasport came on 127ins and 133ins frames, the eight-cylinder engine still had sidevalves but there was a sturdy five-bearing crank, column shift was now standard, and the '37 cars are ruined by the new and hideous grill. '39 cars were more elegant, but some coachbuilders, such as Letourner et Marchand, were responsible for weird shapes in the extreme. Good for 85-90mph, but the handling was pretty poor because of transverse leaf rear suspension Modern bodies still hid archaic mechanics.
