Riley
RILEY IMP

2-seater sports.

One of the prettiest of all thirties sports cars, with its full flowing wings and short tail housing the spare wheel, the Imp used a new frame, upswept over the front axle and underslung at the rear - the wheelbase was a short 90ins. An ENV preselector or close-ratio manual 'box could be specified, magneto ignition was an optional extra, and twin SUs were fitted, but 75mph was about the maximum. Very few made, now very desirable, but they're a squeeze for anyone over 5ft 8ins tall - if you can get in though, everything about them is taut and beautifully balanced.
