RILEY 8-90

Adelphi saloon, Kestrel saloon.

A strange venture for the Riley concern, and not many of these cars were delivered before the collapse in '38 - although the Kestrel was catalogued on the chassis, it is doubtful if any were made. The engine used the usual Percy Riley engine principles regarding valve gear and heads and gave 80bhp. It was mated to a four speed Armstrong preselector 'box, and it's probable that the chassis was exactly the same as for the Big Four. A complete flop at £450 for the Adelphi saloon.
