RILEY 12 HP

Saloon, drophead saloon.

Not such a bad car as the Coventry Riley enthusiasts will have you believe, but despite using an up-dated 12/4 engine, they don't handle as well or feel as 'right' as the pre-Nuffield cars. There was a new box section mainframe on a 109ins wheelbase, Bishop cam and roller steering replaced the familiar worm and sector type, there was a four speed synchro 'box, pressed steel wheels and bulbous, bland bodywork. A Sprite type engine, magneto and all, was available.
