STANDARD FLYING TWELVE (1936)

Saloon.

Flying models all came with integral boots and fastback styling, but under the skin it was the same mixture as before. Sidevalves, three bearings, pump cooling, Bendix brakes and all round beam axles were the norm, while the frame had a long 108ins wheelbase. A saloon cost £299, and although not a pretty car was much better looking than many contemporaries.
