SUNBEAM THREE-LITRE
Sports, 4-seater, Weymann saloon.
Just creeping into the thirties, this one was as fine a sporting car as the better known Bentley. 3-litre engine had twin upstairs camshafts and magneto ignition, which gave 90mph performance potential. Weak point was the chassis, with its narrow track, long 1301/2ins wheelbase and cantilever rear springing. Both body styles attractive, a blown version was marketed in 1928, and standard offering cost £975 in 1930.
