SUNBEAM DAWN

4-light saloon, 6-light saloon.

Not the wisest move for the firm. Going down-market maybe, but there was no skimping on the workmanship and the Dawn was also advanced, with wet liners, aluminium cylinder block and ifs by upper wishbones and a transverse spring. Gearing was doleful, thanks to a weight of 26cwt, and initially the car had a Wilson preselector 'box, changed to a conventional four-speeder on late models. Expensive at £485, there were suspension problems at first.
